Editor’s Questions:
General:
Q: Do you cater to cash-only physician practices?
A: Yes, but Sevocity does not include PM or billing services.

Q: What makes your product different from all the other EMR/PM systems on the market?
A: This is an EMR only and does not include PM or billing. Over 90% of our clients are still using Sevocity and this is probably the highest retention rate in the industry.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Patient Portal:
Q: Include e-prescribing and labs? If so, which vendors do you use/extra fees?
A: Yes. E-prescribing is included in the monthly fees, and we provide one free interface for one PM/billing and one lab. We’ll write to any other system as long as it is HL-7. Interfaces in addition to the two free ones are $995 up front and $25 per month for supporting the interface. There is a one-time fee of $95 for the EPCS Token ring to e-prescribe controlled substances.

Q: Work with Dragon/other speech recognition software?
A: Yes.

Q: Available as true white label, with no URL directs away from my website? Fees?
A: No, but our patient portal is no extra charge. You could have a link to our patient portal on your website.

Q: Can the patient request appointment times from my calendar?
A: Currently, patients do not have access to your calendar, but they can send you a message requesting an appointment in their portal.

Q: Offer Waiting List function?
A: No.

Q: Offer appointment reminders via email/text?
A: No.

Q: Can the patient choose which types of alerts they want to opt into/out of?
A: No.

Q: Can the patient enter their own allergies and current medications?
A: Not currently, but as this becomes required, we will do it.

Q: Offer customizable forms and document upload capability?
A: Yes.

Q: Message/ticket system for question exchange?
A: Yes.

Q: Offer legal consent forms with e-signature capability?
A: Yes.

Q: Offer live video, text, email or fax functions?
A: You can email through our portal.  We do offer e-Fax ($69-$119 for 1,000-2,000 pages).

System:
Q: Is it cloud based and mobile-responsive?
A: It is cloud-based. We are adding the function to see your chart on any mobile device by Summer 2014 and complete charting features from any device by Dec 2014.

Q: What format is used to export patient information into another system?
A: CCD or PDX.

Q: How often is my information backed up/How many servers do you have?

Q: What support will I have/extra fees?
A: Support is included in the monthly flat rate.

Pricing:
Q: What is your monthly fee?
A: $359/mo

Q: What is your initial setup/implementation fee?
A: $1,995 for the clinic (includes the first provider) and $1,295 for each additional provider.

A: 36-months, and we have an Early Termination fee where you can get out.

Q: What is the cost of adding additional physicians at a later date?
A: $1,295 plus $359/mo.

Q: Are there any other fees for any other services/functions that I have not asked about?
