Q: Do you cater to cash-only physician practices?
A: ICANotes works well for cash-only practices or practices that bill insurance.
Q: What makes your product different from all the other EMR/PM systems on the market?
A: Designed by a psychiatrist, ICANotes has been in business for 15 years and is the most feature-rich and clinically robust software for behavioral health professionals. Now used by more than 7,500 providers nationwide, ICANotes is best known for its unique button-driven narrative charting capability which enables clinicians to quickly create thorough documentation in less time. A narrative is created by pushing buttons which generate grammatically correct and highly personalized sentences. Minimal typing is required, and costly transcription is eliminated.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Patient Portal:
Q: Include e-prescribing and labs? If so, which vendors do you use/extra fees?
A: e-prescribing is available for an additional annual fee of $700 (including controlled substances) with a one-time setup fee of $99. We use DrFirst. We will be offering lab integration in Summer 2014 with Quest and LabCorp.
Q: Work with Dragon/other speech recognition software?
A: Yes, you can use Dragon to dictate into ICANotes.
Q: Available as true white label, with no URL directs away from my website? Fees?
A: Our patient portal will be released on July 1, 2014. Yes, it will be white labeled. It will be priced at $20/month.
Q: Can the patient request appointment times from my calendar?
A: Not at this time. This functionality will be added to our portal later in 2014.
